Developer Information

If you're a developer interested in working on Splish, hopefully the information you need will be here,
though for the moment it probably won't be. Contact Alan (skyphyr at gmail dot com - email or jabber)
and ask for any information you need and I'll put it up here.

First thing to cover is the goals for a v1 release. Now that Qt is officially going GPLv3 (the same license
as Splish - we can move ahead with getting a real release out the door). The following tasks need to be
completed to hit this release, at which stage we'll finally provide binaries and other goodness.

Building from Source

There is currently no tarball released so you will need to download the source from subversion. Once there is a tarball you can skip the subversion section.

Getting the source from subversion
You will need to have subversion installed. The procedure for installing it will vary depending on your platform. It can be downloaded from here http://subversion.tigris.org/project_packages.html

If you're on gentoo, the main development platform for Splish, then installation is as simple as running emerge subversion as root.

Splish Website Up

Well as you can see Splish now has a website.

Forums are here so if you're interested, have questions, problems etc then feel free to register and post away.

I look forward to helping people get Splish up and running.
